WHERE SCIFI, FANTASY & HORROR MEET

Welcome to the Razor Reel Flanders Film Fest – the premier genre film festival in Flanders, where fantasy, horror, thriller, and science fiction take center stage.

Each year, we transform the heart of Bruges into a gathering place for filmmakers, enthusiasts, and dreamers who love stories that go beyond the conventional.

Since our founding in 2008, we have grown into a leading platform for fantastic cinema, with a keen eye for talent, originality, and boundary-pushing creativity.

Razor Reel is more than a film festival – it's an experience where you can expect the unexpected.

HORROR NIGHT

26/02–20:00

Ghostface is back! Well, a new Ghostface is emerging. And Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is also returning in the seventh film of the saga that set the standard for the slasher genre in the late ’90s. When this new Ghostface appears in the quiet town where Sidney has rebuilt her life, her worst nightmares come true. Because now her daughter is the next target… Sidney has no choice but to fight again to protect her family. That means she must face the demons from her past to finally put an end to the bloodbath.

Fréwaka shows that Irish horror is alive and kicking. After a personal tragedy, caregiver Shoo leaves her pregnant partner behind to look after an elderly woman in the remote countryside — but nothing is what it seems.

This folk horror dives deep into Irish history, language, and postcolonial traumas, as Shoo is slowly drawn into superstition and hallucinations surrounding the mythical na sídhe. A hypnotic, politically charged mood piece with elegant scares.

A must-see for anyone who missed Fréwaka at Razor Reel or wants to experience it again!

BUDASCOOP

20/06–20:15

Belgium may not be the biggest film country—especially when it comes to genre films—but that doesn't mean there's a lack of strong offerings.

In fact, we're seeing more and more filmmakers who aren’t just flirting with genre cinema, but fully embracing it. The big titles you know might still be countable on one hand, but don’t be fooled—there’s a whole wave of talented filmmakers ready to follow in their footsteps with beautifully crafted (short) films.

Belgica Obscura is the brainchild of curator Wesley Remory, who, together with our regular selection team, presents a Belgian short film program.
This time, we’re bringing this unique selection to Budascoop in Kortrijk.
