THEATER  1

Gyz La Rivière  — The Netherlands

2025 — 1.36u

In Videotheek Marco, artist Gyz La Rivière pays tribute to the vanishing video store culture in the Netherlands and the Benelux. Through the story of the now-closed Videotheek Marco at Beurs station, he revives a lost piece of Rotterdam.

With vivid imagery and eccentric sounds, he explores VHS as a form of grassroots culture — from obscure rentals to karaoke tapes and DIY television.

15.30 - SICK PUPPY

DISCOVERY ROOM

Jay Reid — Canada — 2025 — 1.45u

Sick Puppy is a throwback to the grindhouse horror of the 1970s. Expect cheap sets, fake blood, and suggestive scenes. The story revolves around Charlie, whose serial killer husband decides to call it quits, but who quickly discovers her own bloodlust. Everything exudes the atmosphere of a low-budget shocker: over-the-top acting, gore that’s more camp than gruesome, and a grimy charm that only the true trash fan will appreciate. No refined cinema, just pure pulp that happily rolls around in the dirt.

18.00 - FLUSH

THEATER 1

Grégory Morin— France — 2025 — 1.10u

Finding his ex in the nightclub where she works and convincing her to come back to live with him, that should be doable. Losing the dealer and the bar owner who left him for dead in the restroom for trying to steal their stash is still within his capabilities. However, removing his head stuck in the toilet bowl, that’s not a given.

Jason Howden — New Zealand — 2025 — 1.30u

In Deathgasm 2: Goremageddon, Brodie tries to resurrect his band from the grave to win the ultimate Battle of the Bands — and win back his ex-girlfriend Medina. But when undead bandmate Dion summons his own army of costumed zombies and crowns himself King of the Dead, the musical dream turns into a bloody nightmare. Expect gallons of gore, blistering metal, and a wild dose of dark humor in this scorching sequel that pays tribute to Peter Jackson’s early splatter classics. Deathgasm 2 is pure metal madness — nastier, bloodier, and more brutal than ever.

Charles Roxburgh — USA — 2025 — 1.35u

Ancient poison seeps slow, slick, and slicker — swallowing Medialight’s ankles, inching higher. Fear breathes in the streets, the water’s a black tongue licking bones. Hold tight, hold breath. Wait for the sky to swallow it whole before the city drowns in its own curse.
