Since its very first edition, the Razor Reel Flanders Film Fest has supported emerging filmmaking talent.
With the Young Blood competition, the festival has been offering a platform to debuting filmmakers (first or second feature) since 2012, shining a spotlight on these talented newcomers.
The Young Blood Award honors the best international debut genre filmmaker and serves as a recognition of both quality and creativity.
Over the years, many Young Blood winners have gone on to build successful careers within the fantastic film industry.

Camargue, France. Nejma, a bull breeder, is the only woman training to compete in the Course Camarguaise, a local, non-lethal form of bullfighting. After a brutal encounter with a bull, Nejma begins to notice strange changes in her body. To make matters worse, one of the bulls seems to be killing the men around her.
Animale is an empowering horror western about a strong woman battling both herself and the toxic world around her.
