The Indian action thriller Kill is getting a sequel, producer Guneet Monga revealed during the Film Bazaar event in Goa.
The Hindi film, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023. There, it was honored as the first runner-up for the People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award.
The first installment centers around an intense train journey to New Delhi, where a commando takes on a gang of bandits terrorizing the passengers. The lead roles were played by Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya, and Tanya Maniktala.
Kill was a box office success, both in India and internationally, grossing nearly 60 million dollars worldwide. An English-language remake is currently in development by Lionsgate and 87Eleven Entertainment. Chad Stahelski, known for John Wick, will direct the remake.
